In the BASIC SEARCH section, users can input the sequence of characters they wish to find within the corpus. The Humcor search system allows content to be located in three main ways:
- Exact Search. The entered text is searched exactly as it appears in the transcription, preserving the original order and form. For instance, if you search for "Se lo comieron," a result might be "Le dieron dos o tres vueltas, se lo comieron todo".
- Search with All Words in Any Order. All the words in the search must appear in the transcription, but they don’t have to be in the same order or adjacent. For example, searching for "niño padre" might return "Un niño que se va al padre".
- Partial Search. It’s not necessary for every word in the search to be present in the transcription. If you search for "niño madre," possible results could be "¿Qué quieres, niño?" or "Cuando nací, mi madre le dijo".
In ADVANCED FILTERS, users can apply classification criteria across three main categories: the program (type, transmission medium, or year), speaker characteristics (sex, generation, origin, and, if applicable, name and profession), and humorous content (theme, presence of gestures, etc.). The search results will display a list of humorous texts, with options to view the transcription, play the corresponding video or audio, or download the text file via the download icon.
